CoogTV
At the end of 2021, I was promoted to the role of Sports Producer after three years of reporting and anchoring experience. As the sports leader for CoogTV, the student-run TV station at the University of Houston, I held weekly meetings to prepare for multiple shoots, both in the studio and on the field. I also directed, and filled in for on-air talent if needed. I scheduled crew members and reporters/ anchors. I directed shoots at homes games for various sports. My mission was to foster an environment where members felt a sense of creative freedom while also promoting the overall growth of the sports branch at CoogTV.
August 2019- August 2021
The Cougar
For the campus newspaper, the Cougar, I served as the Senior Staff Writer for the sports department. Meeting a quota of two stories per week, I regularly interviewed coaches and athletes for features and recaps, participated in press conferences and media availability, and pitched unique story ideas each week. I attended home games and covered games from the field, along with live tweeting.

CoogTV
Immediately upon arriving at the University of Houston, I knew I wanted to be involved in the media production organizations on campus for experience. I auditioned to be an anchor and reporter for CoogTV, and have been gaining on-air experience ever since. Through pitching topics for weekly videos, writing scripts, and reporting from home games, I have been an extremely active member of the organization. I was awarded Best Production Team in 2019 for my role in producing and anchoring the sports show In The Game, Sports Host of the Year in 2020, and Host of the Year in 2022.

Medium Posts
As a part of the curriculum in the Valenti School of Communication, I have produced several stories and published them to Medium. To the right is a multimedia story I produced on high school sports during COVID. This story was selected to be published on the Valenti Voices Medium page.
